I took my 2006 Hyundai Sonata to Midas on July 3. It was to diagnose a metallic noise under the hood while the air conditioner was in operation. That day was much cooler than the previous day. It also was slowly dripping fluid for several minutes after turning the vehicle off. Nothing extreme, but noticeable. The technician told me he checked all the belts for wear, but he couldn't determine any sound from driving 10 minutes on the road. However, he didn't mention that in his notes he wrote down that a small leak was coming from the timing belt cover. I'm not sure how experienced the mechanics are there and how much certification each one has. But I am concerned that he recommended a starter instead of mentioning about paying closer inspection to fluid levels and any further deteriorating noises.

The communication is the biggest issue. The regional manager did a great job explaining some other products at the register and he took the time to inform me on why they were beneficial. There is one guy specifically who ruined the experience. I didn’t catch his name, but he had short hair, kinda slicked back, and clear classes. He sighed every time coming in and out of the shop and did not seem engaged in the work. When I asked what exactly was wrong with the vehicle he was short and didn’t offer any extra information. He made the experience crappy.
Our oil filter and oil pan plug are above a plastic guard. It seems they don't take the time to make sure the oil is not cleaned from catching in that guard. We then have an oil leaking on our garage floor.
They always tell me what they are going to do to my car and if they run into a problem they let me know before going ahead. Everyone helps a Woman understand about cars... a mans world. I know not always true but most of the time.... Have never had a problem with my car after they have taken care of it.

Even though I didn't receive the news I wanted on my coolant leak, the service writer was upfront and honest about everything needing done in order to replace the water pump on my vehicle. I do a lot of my own repairs and at times I just don't have the time to run my own diagnostics and to be able to bring my vehicles to a shop and know I can trust them to diagnose and repair as needed without extra unnecessary steps/parts speaks volumes about the integrity of the business.

I absolutely hate to leave a “complaint” (if we can call it that) but the only issue I had is when the mechanic put back my dash, the air vents weren’t clipped. Instead of complaining or asking Midas staff to put them back correctly, I tried to do it myself and broke my a piece of my dash, which is going to cost about $150.00 to get it replaced…..Other than that, 100% highly satisfied. I had a terrible experience last year and now it was a complete 180. The manager was very nice and I noticed he was in the shop sweeping and helping where he could. They did an inspection on my serpentine belt and oil change. As I was driving it around I noticed my car started overheating. It turns out there were rags in the fan and the coolant was completely empty.

The service was fine, the associates were friendly, and the tech was fast until I got my vehicle back. The service light was still on and when I back and asked if they could rest it for me, I know service was done it was more of annoyance to me to see it while driving the many miles a day. The associate's answer was "I don't know how but you can google it or find it on YouTube and rest it yourself." To say the least I was not very happy that this was the response. Honestly, I am not sure if I will return for future service.

Midas tech was able to solve an engine malfunction in two day's time when the local dealership could not schedule a diagnosis check for EIGHT days! This is the second time the Hutchinson Midas store outperformed the branded dealer's service shop for me. Outstanding customer service by the Manager and his shop techs!!
Oil change a little expensive
The employees were very friendly and explained everything to me like it should be and most shops don't do that anymore. Their alignment machine was having issues so they told me they were going to have someone look at it and they were going to call me to come back when it was fixed. They did the best they could do under the circumstances.
The pricing on a direct mail coupon I was given was deceptive. An advertised “synthetic” oil change coupon told me I would pay $39.99, but I ended up paying $85 AFTER my $20 off coupon. $100 for an oil change is ludicrous, especially with an intentionally small disclaimer voiding a $39.99 service. The staff at the location was kind and professional, but I can’t be the only one upset when my total amounts to double what I thought I would pay.
This pricing is outrageous. Over $700 for a front brake job is ridiculous.

The service manager and mechanic were both extremely nice and helpful. They were able to get me in and fix my car fast enough to continue my road trip. Really saved the day! Shane also took the time to answer questions over the phone after I had got the service done and was well done the road. He made me feel confident that I would get to my destination and I did!
I had a tail light/brake light out and so i stopped at Midas to ask about replacement. They were able to look at it right away. Turned out to be a burned out bulb. They replaced the bulb and had me on my way on no time.
The only complaint is they didn’t replace my oil change sticker and I rely on that to know when my next oil change is.

I went to get my oil changed and found out I needed a couple filters replaced also. I went ahead and got my tires rotated. I found that I probably need to be looking for a new battery too. I think the price was reasonable for all I had done and it really didn’t take very long either.
We were in a tight spot with a flat tire late in the afternoon on a Saturday, with my dad needing to drive back to Florida from Kansas the next day. They went out of their way to fix us up quickly.
The guys took the time to make sure my tire balance was just the way I wanted it and went the extra mile to make sure I was please.
Service and the people were super nice. The price for the repairs needed to complete my alignment were very high. $434.00 labor to replace tie rods is insane in my opinion. I get it, advertising and franchise fees are probably high. My remedy was to go to the parts store, buy parts at a third of the price and do the work myself. I might reschedule the appointment at a later date to get the alignment done.

Had a flat tire on the day after a winter storm. Had no appointment, but they took care of me right away. Didn't get new tire at Midas, because they didn't have them in stock. Given the outstanding service, I'm scheduling my oil change service for Tuesday the 3rd of January. My wife also loves the service that she receives at the Midas in Hutchinson, KS.

The team got my vehicle in super quick and they explained what they were doing about every 15 minutes and kept me up-to-date on the process. They were all super friendly and the price was phenomenal.
Only reason was because a tire rotation was to be included with the oil change and I'm 99% sure the tires were not rotated. It was a N/C courtesy so I was not charged for it anyway and my tires only had about 5,200 miles on them from the last time they were rotated so it was not a big deal to me. It will not keep me from coming back for service the next time.
So they warned against doing an alignment due to uneven ware on front tires and I get it cuz they was different brands and patterns aswell, so I told them to throw the two new back o es that have been wore evenly on the front and give it and alignment, they wouldn’t , then I said okay well I’ll buy new tires, o we don’t have your size in any brand,(frustration) okay do the alignment anyways and I’ll get new tires Tomorrow. “Well we won’t give you a free alignment after u get tires” lol I don’t want an alignment afterwards, do u want to give me an alignment yes or no? “Okay we’ll give u an alignment but the warranty is void” idc just give me an alignment. They did, I thanked them for trying to save me money but they did the alignment and I got new tires on today at wal mart and it drives straight, I knew it would but boy if it wasn’t a little back and forth.
Service associate clearly explained the problem he was having completing the alignment. We were not charged for the work that was done as they were unable to complete the alignment.
Scheduled my same-day appointment time online. Call back with exact time came in minutes. They stayed on schedule and got me in and out as promised. No high pressure add-ons like belts and hoses.
They recognized some extra problems that other shops may have missed if they didn’t do their extra inspections. They were also able to fix them the day of the findings and didn’t get delayed.

I know the Hyundai Santa Fe has a plastic cover with just small openings for the drain plug and oil filter, but we always experience a leak when we get home, due to oil somehow getting splashed in between cover and under carriage. I waited for my oil change service to be completed. I was watching through the window. Lights were not checked, general condition of the car not checked. Tire rotation not performed. Also this was my first time bringing this vehicle in and was expecting the normal ~29.99 price. I was not told that the only 0w-20 on hand was the high mileage and it came at a considerable price difference. I didn’t find out until check out.
I miss the old manager, Greg. I think I was overcharged for the job and no personalization from the staff at all. I think because I am female. Also the car was damaged while there and there was no accountability taken.

Lifetime warranty brakes were not replaced with same brake & warranty. Tires were not rotated as part of the brake service.
