I was highly satisfied. Mike and Steve went ABOVE just good customer service. They stayed after hours to make sure the work was completed and done right. Maybe needs just a little inventory checking. The tech was not experienced in the work that was being done but mike and Steve showed him . Teamwork was great!
Tim the manager went out of his way to help. They were having a problem getting my oil filter cover off. It was plastic and they were afraid that it was going to brake. Tim went back and got it off him self using his own belt.

We were passing through town when we ran into an issue. We stopped by, they diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. We were back on the road in less than an hour.
It took over 2 1/2 hours to complete 2 oil changes.

I was able to schedule an appointment last minute, and was called the next morning to confirm my appointment. The service was done within an hour, and the associate who greeted me, checked me in and out was really nice. He also explained any issues they found with my car during the oil change, and gave me a price estimate of how much it'd cost me to get my issue fixed. I really appreciated that. I always go to this Midas, since they're honest people and not trying to scam you.

When I've been to Midas in the past, communication was excellent. I felt this time communication was lacking. It took a little over an hour before I received info about the check engine light. Then I had to wait another hour for the sensors to be replaced. The counter person was friendly enough. Also, there seems to be an issue when scheduling appointments online. I never received a confirmation email. I called and was told that she had okayed my appointment. So, I don't know if a step was skipped in confirming or a glitch. I know people don't seem to stay long these days, but I miss Kyle and Josh. The current staff was fine and the mechanic seemed thorough.

I called for a same day oil change on a Saturday. I was surprised to get a slot. When I arrived my vehicle was taken in immediately and they even alerted me to a possible problem with my car battery.
Friendliness and clarity of pricing
$566 I paid to get a new belt and belt tensioner put on. Are you serious? that's waaaayy overpriced. Yes I had the diagnostic ran on my car which also added to the price I understand, that was like $120. But still, $400+ just to put on a new belt and belt tensioner is beyond ridiculous I think; it feels as if I was scammed. It's only a 2003 trailblazer not some super car.
Do not charge a $1000 for labor for a job that should only take an hour.

they directed me to a tow company and examined the problem and had my cat fixed the following day. This was an emergency and I was informed of the midas credit card which helped tremendously for this emergency.

Brandon was nice but, he does not know how to file a tire warranty claim. He also didn't check to see if the tire was in that I needed. So I waited for 2 1/2 hours and went home with a donut on my car. Then had to return and was told I owed 49.00 to put the tire on. Semi-trucks only charge 41.00. Then I aske for my tire no. So have to go and pay. I was promised an oil change voucher still to have not received it.
Call before doing a wheel alignment, when they found out I needed struts. Now when I get struts I will still need a wheel alignment. Keeping my car for 4 hours when I had a 9:15 appointment.
The communication, detail, pricing, the friendliness, and the overall experience was a wonderful experience, and I will be back very soon for some more work to be done on my car.

I believe the man filling in was named Jeff. He was extremely helpful, great customer service. My sensor in my car went off and an annoying beep kept going off in my car. Jeff was awesome and went above and beyond to help me. Not sure what location he normally works at, just know he's awesome.

Price is not worth the convenience, but I needed the work done. Waited four hours in lobby with very little communication about what was being waited on. Desk attendant (Gary) also made uncomfortable commentary regarding Caitlyn Jenner and transgender people during the wait. Very unlikely to return after this experience.

Communicating with me on the service being provided. I had an oil change and the tires rotated. I had to remind the technician to rotate the tires. There was no air put in the tires and I am not convinced areas of the oil service were not checked. With respect to payment, Midas advertised one price and charged me another.No, I am not happy with the services I received. However, the gentleman who checked me in and out was friendly.
Iām not that easily satisfied at any car repair shop when it comes to paying for car repairs, I am retired. But I also know everyone has to make a living. I am very pleased with service.

I was told by Brittany at the Merrillville location to visit this location as she was very busy. i made sure to clarify my groupon would be accepted to which she confirmed. I called the Hobart location for appt to which he said, " yea just bring it in. If you gotta wait you gotta wait" Of course with no other communication, He said AFTER the oil change that the groupon is not valid here. I had to come out of pocket 70 something dollars bc this was not communicated. When asked why I wasn't told before oil change, I was told they cant take it. It's already done, you need to pay.

Manager wanted to charge me $114.00 for diagnostic, when all they did was pull off a flap behind the headlight and jiggle the turn signal bulb. The mechanics are cool, though. They looked up the cost of replacing the whole assembly, which is the only way to permanently fix the problem...for over $800.00. Well, I wasn't going to pay that, of course, for a front turn signal bulb. But I was grateful they showed me how to fix it myself. The guy at the counter only charged me 20 bucks, though.
