So we had new brakes put on, and brand new ones 2 years ago. Those same brakes ended up faulty with warped brakes, now I needed to replace again/ I thought brakes lasted a lot longer or for more miles. My car only has 119k. 3Brake jobs in less than 3 years. I had a break oil change, but got coolant and oil leakage after the service, I brought back to check and found about $3500 charge for the new fix. I don't know what the car was touched, before the service no leak problem at all.
Oil change service took almost 1.5 hrs as opposed to 45min that I was told. Reason given for delay wasn’t quite satisfactory either.

Midas must honor its lifetime contracts. This shop failed to honor a lifetime oil change contract. The service manager was very rude, hostile, and unprofessional as he walked away. I asked him if it was legal to not honor the contract which I paid for?

I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent service I received at Midas dublin On 1/2-24 , I brought my car in to address the check engine light, and upon consultation with your associate, we agreed to an oil change and an investigation into the check engine light.I patiently waited for approximately two hours, only to be informed that the oil change was completed and the total cost would be $290. I was surprised by this, as it seemed the check engine light issue had not been addressed.Upon questioning the associate, it became clear that only the oil change was performed, and the check engine light issue remained unresolved. I find it unfair to be charged $290 for a service that did not address the primary reason for my visit.the associate's quick response to adjust the charge to reflect only the oil change charges However, I believe it's important to bring this matter to your attention.
Disappointment with Midas in Dublin CA. Setting up an appointment is worthless.
I called the Midas on Village Parkway in Dublin CA in the morning. I was told they could help me at 3:30pm; so I waited and then went to the Midas shop only to be told that it won't be ready until 5pm (????). I told the attendand I had an appointment, he said it didn't matter.
I like midas and this particular shop. I changed my brake pads and rotors since they said it was at 3 mm over phone but in the inspection report it was marked as 4mm. Felt that was not clearly communicated. Also they recommended rotors to be changed with brake pads which i did not know expect. In the end i did my brakes as i felt it is too important to be postponed.
My wait time was short despite not having an appointment. The service was helpful and kind, and when an issue was discovered (cabin filter needed replacement) I was contacted and given the opportunity to have it addressed quickly and at a reasonable price. I was also given information to inform future repairs, but in no way pressured to get the work done on the spot. If I lived closer, I would make this my permanent service center!

Overall, the installation was great, disappointed as in there was no black wheel weights for the insulation and used a gray colored ones on black rims does not look good at all. Super disappointed I love the crew there, but disappointed that they did not have the supplies to do their job.

Hey bro my car and to be checked and I was told it was something that it was not after I'd already had it to another mechanic and then another mechanic afterwards and they both say it's this issue in your mechanic attempted to save something else and charged me for parts and services that I did not need
this was 2nd time this week vehicle wasn't ready when promised and no communication either time. The first time I waited onsite and it was 3 hrs. longer than expected and yesterday I was told it would be done 2-3pm and wasn't ready until after 5:30 and I didn't receive a call and found this out when I called to check at 4:45pm. they said it was nearly done and just needed road test and would be ready at 5:15. I showed up at 5:15 and didn't get vehicle until 5:34 pm.
Greeted immediately, my records were looked up right away, the oil change began within moments of entering store, plus I had a concern about a low tire pressure light that was on and everything was taken care of quickly, professionally and in a friendly manner. I also witnessed other customers being taken care of and they all were handled equally. Great store!

I did not make an appointment. It was a busy day after July 4 but the representative was patient and helpful. After checking with the mechanic that it was still possible to service my car, I was told that it could be ready in 90 minutes. Half hour passed and I was informed that my rear brake pads only had 10% left. Upon consent to have them changed, my car was ready a little more than the promised time. I've been going to this location for many years for oil change, and they have my complete service record. This time, I had my teenage son drop off my 14+ year old car and wait for the service. The service person incorrectly told him that my car requires full synthetic oil and that they have been changing it with full synthetic. But my car has always had regular oil change. They charged me more than twice the normal amount. I feel like they took advantage of my inexperienced son and up-sold us something we don't need.

My vehicle was not even checked. I was willing to pay just for checking the noise I am getting on my vehicle. The representative was very rude. It looks like Midas is not willing to solve my problem at all. I was coming to this Midas for 9 years. Looks like this place has changed a lot over time. It’s not that friendly environment any more where both customers and mechanics worked together to solve customer car issues. The elderly person at the front desk is very rude and does not pay attention to what customers likes to say. Sorry we have to move on to another shop for servicing our car.

I made an appt & my vehicle didn’t make it into the bay until 30 mins later. I also brought a blinker bulb that needed to be replaced & typically these are replaced as a courtesy while waiting but I figured even if not, due to the wait they’d do it for free. I was told multiple times by junior that it’d be $30 to install the light as that’s standard labor costs for a bulb. This was absolutely ridiculous to me but now having experienced the level of customer service you receive at this Midas, I probably will not return & will go elsewhere even though this location is 8 mins from my home.
Well, for one, there was a cold refrigerator in the waiting room that contained cold beverages. No one told me whether they were available to consumers while they were waiting.Further, I feel as though the Midas employee with whom I spoke over the phone should have been more clear as to how much the oil change actually was.Third, I may come back because there is a nail salon across the street [Rainbow Nails] that did an outstanding job on my pedicure and manicure the next day. First and foremost the customer service is terrible, they don't want to speak to customers or understand their issues. After service trying to find other recommendations but this guy doesn't want to talk - he said last time you declined so I can't pull that information. He just wants all customers to get out of the building sort. I thought checking any recommendation is at a dangerous level I need to check pricing and plan for service. But these guys want me out of the building. Not only me I did observe the same with other customers as well. Change the staff or ask them to love their job. It seems they are very robotic and hate customers.

The pricing list on the wall does not reflect what I paid. The air conditioning system check cost me $150 when it said $69 on the price board in the shop. On top of that pricing, the a/c recharge service cost me over $339 when most places only charge about $250 for that service. When I told the technician about this he said that because my car was newer and a certain model that it was more expensive. What about the estimate? I asked. He said again that it was because my car was a Kia Niro. How does that change the estimate price???

The maintenance light was not reset after the oil change. Lack of attention to detail.
I did 3 car oil changes in 3 consecutive days. Not one day was there a sticker in the inside drivers window showing the mileage, next due, etc. Today appt. was supposed to be at 8am. One guy finally showed up at 8:15, and didn't get ANY service until at least 8"30. Check in for all 3 days was the slowest, studpiest, waste of time I have ever seen. Also, the employees don't get the job done immediately, they seem to find time to BS with each other, than get the job done so I could get on with my day. The 2nd day they also tried to get me to pay for a more expensive service, and the 3rd day they tried to tell me I had previously purchased the most expensive oil change....BS BS BS. The old, slow, fat man should not even be in there, as he was rude to a customer, that i saw. It appears that Midas can't hire ANYBODY that has a brain, or at least common sense.
The staff was nice, but I got all new brakes with rotors, and the brakes instantly were squeaking...I took it back about a week later, they held the car all day and said they had replaced the back brakes and that should clear up the squeaking. But the front brakes were still squeaking and I couldn't get back to their shop for a couple of weeks, finally brought it back in, they fixed the front brakes, and now there is no squeaking thank goodness. But it took 3 visits, including roundtrip Lyfts at $30-35 each to my office and just a lot of wasted time get this remedied.
I have been visiting this Midas location for at least 12 years. I have always received superb treatment and all our cars, even those belong to my children are serviced there when ever they are in town.
