Refund the oil change rather than discount another oil change. Like I'd ever come back to this location unless I was getting paid to do so. My new to me van STILL shakes!!!!! Even after returning to Midas for them to fix the problem. I'm beyond upset!

My oil change was $84 which I was 100% ok with. But they never topped off my fluids, left coolant low but claimed I need a flush. They also didn’t even bother to fill my wiper fluid.
Since I just showed up at closing time with a broken car, and it was fixed by mid morning the next day, I am quite satisfied with the work. A bit expensive, but I think worth it.

I made my appointment online with the intention to pay $29.99 for the current deal going on. Upon my arrival that could only do the most expensive package for $189.99 which was way out of my budget, and they didn't leave me any other options. They claimed my Chevrolet could only take the oil in the Best Package, and I was only made aware of this after going all the way out to my appointment. I had to leave very upset without an oil change.
I bring a lot of vehicles to this specific Midas in Cedar Rapids and was looking for a tire patch on a vehicle that the mechanic said he could do, but the manager came out and told me it was too close to the side wall and we could replace the tire because we have them in stock. Didn’t have them in stock. So I went from possibly a $30 fix, to a $200 fix, to now we don’t have that tire in stock, so you’ll need 2 to match, so 400-450 fix.. I will be looking for another close shop to bring my work vehicles to.

I brought my car in front of alignment because I replaced the rear tie rods about a month ago and the car has not been tracking quite right. After the alignment was done I looked underneath it and can tell all that the rear cam bolts were not turned at all. It would have been nice to get an alignment sheet that showed how far off the tires were and how they were after they were adjusted.
I will be taking that jerk manager to small claims court. You will also be charged for the repair of my vehicle after they destroyed it. Better business beurow will also be notified.
I called & got an appointment that same day. I appreciated the time they took to check things over. I knew my tires air pressure needed ajdusting, also found out a couple of air filters needed changed and they did so with my approval & letting me know how much it cost ahead of time. I am so glad they are so close to where I live. It gives me great peace of mind.

Over the many years I have come to Midas I have put up with lots of things. Tools left in engine compartment, a hole punched in my gas tank during a fuel pump change, service done that wasn't requested or discussed (spark plug change), watched some goober start to lift my truck with the lift plates in wrong place, etc.The ONLY reason I have remained loyal to Midas even through all it's multitude of manager and technician changes, which to be honest seems pretty sketchy, was being able to bring my own parts. Then yet another new manager shows up and says we can't bring our own parts and gives some bullsh*t reason why. When we all know the reason is so you can triple charge for the part.I took my truck to Firestone 2 blocks from my house once because Midas couldn't do what I needed. They were pricey but I NEVER had an issue with their work. But about half the time I bring something to Midas something else mysteriously goes wrong soon after like this time. The word on Nextdoor is that Midas does stuff to people's cars to get more work. I ignored that until now.If I have to pay triple for parts I might as well go to a less sketchy place from now on.
Lady who helped me was very polite got me in quick and out quickly. I needed to be somewhere is why I needed a timely matter. And she was very understanding.

When a customer calls and you're told a price on the phone you should only expect to pay THAT price. When I went to pay, it was WAY higher than what the manager told me over the phone. Also, my Appt was at 11:00am and it was not pulled into the bay on time. It was late.

When you tell a customer in person that they can have a tire rotation free of charge with your oil change, and the customer reiterates it to you to make sure, and its documented on paperwork but you don't receive it, thats a problem. When you order the high mileage oil change for 5000 miles, your odometer says 159,300 for mileage and the employee marks 169,300 for the miles on the sticker, thats a problem. ESPECIALLY since you don't offer a 10,000 mile oil change. But you had time to inspect my vehicle to let me know I need 2 air filters replaces, back brakes need replaced and the radiator needs new fluid--thats odd. It makes me wonder WAS MY OIL EVEN CHANGED?????? and then to call in to let the manager James know you were unhappy with the service and not once was an apology said. I was told they could fix the tire rotation problem--but I am not coming back out that way for that. Its out of my way. Very disappointed--won't be back.

My tire blew out about three blocks away from Midas. Riding my rim down the street, I was very concerned that they would not be able to get me in. Not only did they make time for me, they immediately got my car up to test the tire for possible repair rather than replacement. While I felt that the cost for one tire replacement was a little high, I’m not complaining. The urgency with which the team responded, and the pleasant nature of my interactions are why I gave highly satisfied scores.
I won’t return. I had all four brakes and rotors replaced in October. In January I went back due to my vehicle shaking. My parts were covered under warranty but the labor was not and they had to add oil and flush and change it. I previously went 5 years with not changing brakes. They should not go bad in 3 months. Ever.
Reprimand the guy that lied to me to try to get me to pay for his mechanics mistake and hire competent mechanics!

Misdiagnosed 4 different parts and didn't do the alignment like I asked. Seems to me that if I wasn't knowledgeable they would have made me fix 800 dollars worth of parts that aren't in need of fixing

Exmployees explain everything and no pressure to add services, they tell you what you need and the timeframe in which your car would need the services without trying to sell you anything. It is easier to want to stick with them and schedule the services when there is no pressure. Staff is consistently friendly and act like normal people rather than sales people or uptight.

Did not top off air pressure or fluids even after I specifically asked them to do it with oil change and they are supposed to anyways. Employees very visible from the check in window, uniforms dirty and horse playing, eating on the floor making it look like they’re just not doing their job a good majority of my wait time. Took so long to check in, I was greeted and then he stood on the computer doing im not sure what until about 2:15. My appt was at 2pm and I arrived at 1:55. Then I get my car back with a “check left tail light “ signal that was not there before and proceed to pay 110 dollars for an oil change I could’ve gotten at Walmart for 50 bucks and better service. Just overall a bad experience and I for sure will not be going here anymore or recommending this place to anyone.

Communication and honesty had an appointment at 10am for 3 and a half hour job came back at 3 they just pulled it in and removed tires 5 hours after appointment was told they should be done before end of day close time was 6 came back at 530 and found out alignment wasn't done and they said it wasn't a big deal since work was done on the back . Alignment machine broke at 1pm they knew then that they couldn't complete the job as requested there wasn't any communication until when I was upset then the whole shop came in to confront me in the office terrible ordeal
